No Rapes in College?!

Reposted from Huffington report…

Bob Beckel stunned his own co-hosts when he suggested that rape does not happen on college campuses during Tuesday’s “The Five.”

The Fox News roundtable was debating Colorado legislation that would allow women to carry concealed weapons to prevent sexual assault at colleges. Beckel was skeptical, and asked, “When’s the last time you heard about rape on a college campus?”

“What?!” one shocked co-host could be heard asking.

“What are you talking about?” an indignant Eric Bolling said. “It’s rampant.”

“Oh, it’s rampant?” Beckel asked. “Rapes on campus?!” Bolling responded. “Where?” Beckel wanted to know.

“In particular, date rape on campus,” someone said.

“Yea, date rape, that’s one problem,” Beckel conceded, “but you gonna take a gun out and shoot your date?”

Well I unfortunately know that too not be the case. In my time as an undergrad I knew of one a year in my close circle. And then there is the HS date rape situation.

I find Fox News employs the least intelligent commentators, and history, as seen in Obama election, proves that.

Degree Inflation

Across industries and geographic areas, many other jobs that didn’t used to require a diploma — positions like dental hygienists, cargo agents, clerks and claims adjusters — are increasingly requiring a college diploma, according to Burning Glass, a company that analyzes job ads from more than 20,000 online sources, including major job boards and small- to midsize-employer sites.

This up-credentialing is pushing the less educated even further down the food chain, and it helps explain why the unemployment rate for workers with no more than a high school diploma is more than twice that for workers with a bachelor’s degree: 8.1 percent versus 3.7 percent.
